Breitling Superocean Ironman Watch is for the Triathlon Super Heroes

You remember the song by Milli Vanilli – Keep on Running – that’s the kind of music that plays in my head when I think about triathlons. You just keep on running from one thing to the other – swim, cycle and running – and hope to come out alive and kicking. The reason why I bring this up, is because we are discussing the Breitling Superocean Ironman Watch.

Intended for triathletes who will participate in the Ironman, which is a Wanda Sports Group company, Breitling has announced the commemorative timepiece – Breitling Superocean Ironman Limited-Edition watch – a collection which is very much appreciated by all.

Very recently, the Breitling boutique in New York City played host to the announcement event of this association, with Ironman. The President of Breitling USA – Thierry Prissert and Andrew Messick – the President and CEO of the Ironman Group enjoyed the company of Paula Newby-Fraser, who happens to be a legend in this field. Often referred to as the “Queen of Kona”, and winning the Ironman World Championship an astounding eight times, the event was a hit with the august audience.

The CEO of Breitling, Georges Kern made it a point to recognize the work put in by Breitling’s triathlon squad at the Ironman events – the team is Jan Frodeno, Chris “Macca” McCormack, and Daniela Ryf – the current Ironman World Champion.

The event covers a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile cycle, and a 26.2-mile run (or a marathon). Designed to be one of Planet Earth’s most grueling single-day endurance races, the Breitling Superocean Ironman Limited Edition watch is its perfect companion.

Coming to the watch, it hosts a 44mm stainless steel case and is teamed with a red Diver Pro III rubber strap. Looking very youthful and trendy, the watch also boats of an amazing 1,000-meter water-resistance. Features include a unidirectional timing bezel along with a black dial featuring high-contrast Super-LumiNova markers.

Under the hood is a self-winding Breitling caliber 17, that promises a power reserve of 38 hours. The good thing about this watch is that its designed to endure the hardships a triathlon athlete has to go through.

The Breitling Superocean Ironman Limited-Edition watch will be available for only 300 people and will e-tail on Breitling’s e-commerce channel and in selected Breitling boutiques along with the on-site Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Nice and the Ironman World Championship in Kailua-Kona. You can pick it up for $3,950.
