You may not be familiar with Brellum watches, but they seem to have made a splash with the Duobox and Pandial collections. Founded by Sébastien Muller in December 2016, the brand has come a long way in the three short years of existence. Combining ‘B’ from Bonfol village – Sébastien’s home turf and his last name Muller, we have the brand’s name Brellum. Promising us affordable Swiss watches that are high in quality and great on design, both the Duobox and Pandial watches have been successful.
The Brellum Pandial Marina 2 belongs to the Pandial collection and has similar cues as the predecessors. The stainless steel case is a hearty 43mm in diameter and boasts of brushed top and polished sides. The lugs have wide polished bevels and add to the character of the watch. You could call the Pandial Marina 2 as a thick watch as its 15.9mm in height. The boxed sapphire crystals can be found on the front and back of the watch.
Pandial Marina 2 is very much like the Pandial Marina, and the noticeable difference is the silver dial with matching silver registers on the new timepiece. The earlier watch had a deep blue dial. The commonality of orange accents and a thin, deep blue aluminum tachymeter bezel continues. You will also find large pump pushers for the chronograph mechanism on both the older and newer watches.
The Pandial Marina 2 features the date window at the 6 o’clock spot and the outer ring of the dial has a telemeter scale. The timepiece is water resistant up to 50 meters and is powered by a Valjoux 7750 movement. I like the fact that you can admire the Caliber Brellum BR-750-1 movement via the crystal caseback. I like the fact that the colors of this watch makes it look very sporty (thinks orange with blue and white) and kind of vintage, but that’s the upside of it.
This chronometer is COSC-certified and features a partially skeletonized rotor. To complete the look, Muller has teamed the watch with a handmade Alinghi Marina strap and a Milanese stainless steel mesh bracelet, which you can make a pick from. The watches sell for $2400 with the strap and $2500 with the bracelet.
