Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Limited Edition is dedicated to James Bond 007

It’s worth noting that Ian Fleming, in his book – On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, wrote about the heavy Rolex Oyster Perpetual that Bond could use as a knuckle buster, whenever he needed to use. And though Rolex was favored for a long time, even Seiko was in the mix of things.

In fact, to keep the cameras rolling, during the shoot of Dr. No, director Terence Young loaned his Submariner to Sean Connery, as the props department had forgotten to procure one for the shoot. With time, the partnerships evolved and Omega came on the scene. Interestingly, to mark the 50th Anniversary of ‘On Her Majesty’s Secret Service,’ Omega has announced the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Limited Edition watch.

Celebrating Partnerships

While the world keeps speculating on what is transpiring in the new Bond movie and the kind of timepiece that Daniel Craig will be sporting in the movie, Omega has gone ahead and announced this new watch instead. Celebrating their partnership, the Limited Edition timepiece comes in its own presentation box along with a presentation box.

The celebratory timepiece is teamed with an additional stainless steel bracelet. Only seven thousand, and seven watches will be up for grabs (7007 is a play on 007), the timepieces are specially marked and the numbering engraved on an 18kt yellow gold plate.

Design Details

The Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Limited Edition keeps things exciting for the fans. For example, on the date disc, the 7th of the month (number 7) is showcased as 007. The 42 mm stainless steel case fits well on the wrist and under the hood you will find the in-house Omega Master Co-Axial Calibre 8800 with Master Chronometer certification.

This also means that you get 55 hours of power reserve from the movement. Along with the stainless steel bracelet, you can team the watch with a rubber strap. You get an exclusive travel pouch with the Bond family crest on it, to store the watch. Details of the watch include a black ceramic bezel with a white enamel diving scale, a spiral-brushed black ceramic dial, 18K yellow gold hands and, hour-markers and the Bond family coat-of-arms at 12 o’clock.

The new timepiece takes cues from the original Seamaster Professional from 2018, a watch that hosted a ceramic dial, a helium escape valve, and a Master Chronometer rating. I particularly like how the spiral motif is placed on the dial, without making it look busy.  Pick it up for $6,500.
