Victorinox Swiss Army Fieldforce Watch Collection has six new timepieces

Victorinox is well established in terms being an iconic Swiss Army Knife and the heritage continues with the Fieldforce Collection of watches. Focusing on legibility, the Fieldforce Collection is all about readability and the Arabic numerals on the dial are large and are readable in any kind of conditions. The bold and distinct numbers are defined by the generously sized hands. All of these are topped with Super-LumiNova for the glow-in-the-dark effect.

This range is designed to be confident and yet own the classic style territory, and like they say ‘Distinction’ is in its DNA. This sporty watch boasts of a Day-Date function, other than telling the time. The dial is designed simple and hosts a red cross and shield and breaking the monotony of a blue, white or black dial (depending on which watch you pick), is a red second hands with a Swiss Army Knife-shaped counterweight.

The 42 mm case is covered with an anti-reflective scratch-resistant, triple-coated sapphire crystal. Under the hood is an analog quartz movement and the screw-in caseback holds it tight up to 100 meters. For a watch whose main job is to make time easily readable for you, this watch is very apt.

The new watches in this collection come in three dial color options – blue, white and black. and they are teamed with either a leather or a metal bracelet – thus they become six new watches in the collection. I’m a big fan of the leather straps, because of the detailing and stitching on the sides.

If you notice the dial carefully, you will notice the hour hand faces-off via the luminous triangle positioned at the 3 o’clock space. The minute hand swoops over the lower tip of the minute track and the seconds hand runs across, to the end tip of the track.

Although the pricing ranges $350 for the leather strap watches and $395 for the metal strap ones, the $45 difference is steep when you think about the base price structure. The Blue Dial timepiece with the brown leather strap looks a lot more sophisticated than the Black Dial with the black leather strap, and that’s my pick of the day.
