It is nice to see the effort put behind the new Chopard L.U.C Chrono One Flyback Chronograph, and the fact that there is more to it than just cosmetic changes. Chopard’s high-end L.U.C line has seen a chronograph offered before, and so in that sense the L.U.C Chrono One Flyback is not first. However, when it comes to its features, the watch sports a new 42-millimeter stainless steel case along with a unique dial. The movement has also been altered to fit the new watch.
Going back in time, the earlier watches were crafted in precious metals and sported an ample 44mm case. The Chrono One Flyback is crafted in stainless steel and is the first of its kind in the collection. The current 42mm case, fits perfectly on the wrist and looks classy with its mirror-polish look.
The L.U.C Chrono One Flyback
A modern and sporty watch, the L.U.C Chrono One Flyback is aesthetic and showcases a wide sapphire display window on the back. This gives us a peek at the movement that throbs inside the watch, powering it to perfection.
The dial of the L.U.C Chrono One Flyback is very unique and shows evidence of a strong design DNA that is base of every L.U.C watch. I like the concept of a rich slate gray dial with assertive vertical brushing that adds to its appeal and masculine looks. The watch comes with the L.U.C signature truncated dauphine hands, that have a narrow line of lume.
Movement and More
You will find the chrono subdials at 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock and a wide brushed stainless outer ring on the edge of the dial. At the 6 o’clock spot you will find the running seconds and at the 4:30 spot, is the date window. This window is a bit larger than the diamond-shaped applied indices and stands out due to the black coloring.
This limited-edition houses the L.U.C Caliber 03.03-L movement, which is not yet seen in any other current Chopard brand lineup watch. This automatic flyback chronograph is COSC-rated to chronometer accuracy and includes a three-hammer chronograph zero-reset mechanism.
The L.U.C Chrono One Flyback is teamed with a deeply patterned charcoal gray alligator strap and is limited to only 250 watches. It is available for $26,900.
