CLOT x Nike Air Force 1 Black Silk is inspired by the Silk Royale pattern

With the Internet reverberating in its name, Nike releases yet another pair of jumps reminding us that you can truly never have too many shoes. The three-way collaboration with the Japanese streetwear label fragment design brings new life into the pre-existing collaboration by CLOT X Nike.

The CLOT X Nike Air Force 1 ‘Black Silk’ is unlike anything else out at the moment. In collaboration with fashion icon Edison Chen, co-founder of CLOT, who recently took to Instagram to tease the upcoming release, with a post that brings the logos of all the three labels together.

The team has outdone themselves yet again by taking the aesthetic of a silhouette and reworking it giving rise to arguably one of the coolest streetwear kicks this year.

That Black Friday aesthetic

With a revival of their ‘Silken’ Air Force 1, released earlier last year with a stark white and bright royal blue shade, this time it plays to a dark transition in its mood and aesthetic in terms of its jet-black silk upper construction.

Complementing its stealthy black visual is a leather swoosh branding on its side and tongue. A white midsole and a gum outsole that resembles a zipper edge, cap off the look providing the perfect contrast.

Ripping ’em new!

Its shimmering luxe material with intricate ornate patterns covered entirely this pair that is a strong follow up with its own secrets. A hidden red layer underneath the black is revealed through self-distressing or some dedicated wear.

Much credit goes to fragment design as well, which is the brainchild of Japanese multidisciplinary artist and designer Hiroshi Fujiwara. Considered to be ‘the godfather of the Ura-Harajuku fashion scene, fragment give Fujiwara the platform that marries business acumen with design.

These game changers currently slated to hit select retailers on black Friday, November 29 for $250 each.
