Hiroshi Fujiwara x POP BY BY JUN collection of fragment design launches

Japanese musician and designer is preparing a capsule of different items in collaboration with the brand POP BY JUN at Shibuya PARCO. The latter is a recently remodeled shopping center in Shibuya.

The team-up is the only way for the experimental retail store POP BY JUN to celebrate the new space. If you may remember, Shibuya PARCO is where the Official Nintendo store has opened this month.

Hiroshi Fujiwara Strikes Again

As for the POP BY JUN x Hiroshi Fujiwara collab, it will present items like the THUNDERBOLT PROJECT BY FRGMT & POKÉMON, Medicom Toy stuffed toys, Anti-Social Club T-shirts in either black or white, a Polaroid SLR680 camera, tote bags, and some beauty stuff from reTAW. The fragment design is very obvious here as distinctively Hiroshi Fujiwara.

Who is Hiroshi Fujiwara? He is the same guy that designed the CLOT x Nike Air Force 1 Black Silk. Almost two weeks ago, we described him as ‘the godfather of the Ura-Harajuku fashion scene’.

Yet Another Hiroshi Fujiwara Collab

The other Hiroshi Fujiwara collaboration we featured was memorable. The Moncler X Hiroshi Fujiwara was a collection that mixed old and new to make fine pieces. We particularly like the online exclusive HANRIOT puffer jacket and the minimalist pair of all-white sneakers called Franz that made an impression for looking clean yet functional with the hook-and-loop closures.

Going back to the Hiroshi Fujiwara and Pop by Jun collection, this capsule features small team-ups with other brands like Thunderbolt Project, ASSC, and Nintendo among others. They even got Polaroid to come up and release a remade single-lens reflex Polaroid Camera SLR680.
